Random thoughts…
We are not liking Daniel Craig as Bond…didnt like him in Casino Royale…despised him in Quantum of Solace… especially because in most of the scenes he appears to have forcefully puckered his lips to create a pathetically affected “serious” expression. I mean, we know you are BOND but you don’t have to readily sport a “I-am-ready-to-kiss-you-now” expression all the time. (slightly exaggerated
)
The DB9 (was it?) finally saw some action… and it was WOW…. though some sequences reminded me a LOT of the Ronin car chase….and then the driver side door was literally torn away from the rest of the body. The Aston Martin should not be treated like a thamizh cinema Willy’s Jeep! C’MON!
Bond Girl – not so much…
The only thing I liked in the movie was the action sequences… and some jumpy camera to give a sort of a “real” feel to the movie. But then, this has already been done in the Bourne movies, and Cloverfield. Nothing new there, is what I mean.
The whole “help me find the stationery” bit with the red headed desk agent was totally unnecessary, especially considering that it is a scene set up just so that Bond could sow some wild oats. Totally friggin unnecessary…We all know JB is a lady killer and everything, but not like this.
Strangely, the dead red head (wow, rhyme) soaked in oil, resembled Mystique (X-MEN).
Oh and can somebody explain what’s the deal about the title? I didn’t get it… I am not a novel reader so I don’t know much about anything other than what I saw and the title and the goings-on didn’t seem to really make sense.
So, in all, the entire movie watching experience didn’t even feel like a movie….It felt like the small prick of a hypodermic needle as it enters your skin…and the slight throbbing/tingling sensation once it is removed. That’s it. It was basically a syringe filled with sugar water.. No real adrenaline… (sorry, couldn’t help that)
Did I like the movie? Yes, because the ROAR of the Aston Martin’s horses could only be felt in the theatre… not at home…. as I do not own a home theatre system yet. And, the fact that there are other fools in this world, gives me a sense of belonging.

lol! about the title, a magazine posed that question to the leading lady, and she fumbled at answering it too.
