HP 6

Saw the Half-Blood Prince yesterday… And all of a sudden after watching the movie, I have decided to launch myself headlong into the HP book reading quest…

My self-imposed challenge is to finish the whole series, before the next….the LAST… movie comes out. Trust me, it is extremely uphill for me to read books on a deadline..correction… read. period.  :-D

As for the movie, it was good.. a couple of snogging scenes, everybody finds romance…. and for those who don’t know anything about HP trivia, a couple of twists and turns, and surprises…there is very little action, and a lot of story being developed, basically setting the stage for the grand finale, so to speak. But then, just from a movie standpoint, I felt that compared to the previous HP movies, there is a giant leap in the way the movie is treated. To start with, the movie is no longer all that appropriate for ara-tickets…. The mood and theme is much more darker/mature… vengeance, love, romance, etc…

I am an HP spaz.. and hence have imposed myself with the task of starting to read the HP series soon… let’s see how far I get. heh.

  1. Mams,

Vani just became a convert to HP. she completed the first book in 2 days and waiting to start the next book. I am still holding out. But may not longer. Always had the perception that HP is more “ara-ticket” kindda book. Plus these novels are not my genre`. I might end up warming up with Lord of The Rings first.

    • machi – i thought it is ara-ticket too… Sudha dhan sonna, padichu paarunu, and that I would like it. So going with her judgement on this one. Let’s see if it works out. hehehe.
as far as novels go, there is no genre for me, I guess… cos I don’t read much. :-D , adhu naala I think I may be a little more forgiving. :P
